Patch #24 brought a couple of very exciting changes. It added a new music track to Whiskerwood, produced by orchestral composer Lucas Ricciotti. This new track will play randomly after a colony has at least 100 Whiskers.

The rest of the patch focused mostly on optimizations, with special attention paid to gameplay CPU logic. While computers limited by rendering might not see a significant change, but saves at a high whisker population should see noticeable FPS boosts. Make sure to check out the full changelog for a complete list of additional optimizations and fixes.

Patch #25 reworked construction and added the new Construction Yard, which allows you to control construction workers more precisely and boost efficiency. This new building is an insta-build/moveable camp, and is researched in the second research tier. Workers assigned to the construction yard also get efficiency boosts towards construction.

In the full notes for this patch, Daniel also shared a development roadmap for Whiskerwood's next major update. The development team's goal is to add full ship constructions, trading between colonies, naval battles, and island defenses. Because this update will be much bigger in scope, the development team plans to be focused on it for the next 4+ months. Taking this time will allow them to make the grand leap forward in gameplay that will be required to support these new additions.

Once this massive naval update ships (no pun intended), the Whiskerwood team plans to return to daily and then bi-weekly patches. For the Patch #26 changelog and a more complete breakdown of the plans for the game's next major update, make sure to check out the full update notes!
