On June 1st 1911, the first air squadrons were established in the Ottoman Empire. They were used for reconnaissance and bombing during the Balkan Wars of 1912-13, one of the earliest combat uses of aircraft. Today, the Turkish Air Force is one of the largest in NATO, with between 250 and 300 combat aircraft, primarily F-16 fighters.

About these aircraft

• The T129 (rank VI) is a Turkish attack and reconnaissance helicopter developed by Turkish Aerospace based on the Italian Agusta A129 and in service with the Turkish Air Force since 2014. Unlike the Italian version, which is armed with Hellfires, the T129 is armed with domestically produced L-UMTAS and CIRIT guided missiles. It also features a 20 mm forward-firing cannon and can carry Stinger air-to-air missiles and FZ49 unguided rockets. 
• The F-104S (rank VII) was purchased by Turkey from Italy in the 1960s and 70s to bolster its air force during its gradual transition to the F-16. The F-104S is an extremely fast aircraft with access to a wide range of ordnance, from bombs of various calibers and incendiary tanks to Mighty Mouse and Zuni rockets and AIM-9P and AIM-7E air-to-air missiles.

Task: Earn 3,000 mission points in battles where you used any aircraft from any nation at rank III or higher to receive the “Turkish Air Force Day” trophy!

Inside this trophy, you’ll receive one of three decals:

The “Turkish Air Force Day” decal is located in the “Holidays” section in the vehicle customization menu. The “Emblem of the Turkish Air Force Command” and “Emblem of the Turkish Air Force Pilots” decals are located in the “Neutral Countries → Aviation” section in the vehicle customization menu.

If you already have all three decals, you’ll receive a trophy containing one of the following items:

• 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles
• 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles
• 3-5 universal backups
• 1 day of Premium account

Please note: After finishing the task, you need to collect the reward manually.
