Walkthrough – Key Things to Know

We’ve also gathered several key tips on how progression and combat mechanics work in Wall World 2 to help new players settle in more quickly.

1. Progression

Your character and the spider mecha grow stronger not only during a run. Your success primarily depends on meta-progression. Between runs, make sure to visit Jill’s Workshop for spider upgrades and the Shop for permanent hero bonuses and new tools. Don’t hoard resources without a purpose – investments always pay off in future runs.

2. Stay Hydrated

Before each run, we strongly recommend stopping by the Bar. Drinks are powerful temporary buffs for the entire expedition – for a certain amount of dust, you can gain bonuses to attack, defense, movement speed, or even resource drops. If you’re struggling with the early biomes or get overwhelmed too quickly, a couple of drinks can solve the problem.

3. New Upgrades

The second part of progression is tied to missions. “Main quests” unlock key features, new modules, and spider mecha systems. “Side quests” aren’t mandatory, but they’re your way to unlock lots of new things, including weapon types, permanent spider upgrades, and even a helpful companion.

4. Zyrexes

Tip #1 – undock the spider from the mine entrance during enemy waves to dodge attacks and defend more effectively. Don’t forget to use your machine’s abilities (missiles, saws, dodges, etc), which are purchased in Jill’s Workshop. Zyrexes inside the mines are dangerous too – the Honey Badger handles them far better than a regular drill.

5. Roguelite Element

Starting each run without temporary upgrades is part of the roguelite genre. Temporary upgrades reset, but in Wall World 2 your progress never fully disappears: every run brings new resources, every mission moves you closer to your goals, and every purchase pushes you forward. The more meta-progression you unlock, the easier your future runs will become.

As always, keep drilling, keep exploring, and keep the feedback coming!
