V1.0.40 is now live. In addition to a brand-new Meow Code, this update also brings controller mapping support, lots of new facial expressions, and a variety of quality-of-life improvements.

• Study Room and Fishing Room mini mode now remember whether you were in the Cat Bus state when entering a new room
• Added fireflies at night in Companion Mode
• Imported music in the music player now supports search
• Tablet strokes are now displayed dynamically

• Limited-edition Headgear will now be preserved when deleting Headgear save data
• Improved the reconnection logic for Study Room and Fishing Room:
  if rejoining the original room fails, the game will now try to place you into another available room

• Fixed a Fishing Lottery UI issue
• Fixed an issue where minigame 3-star rewards were incorrect
• Fixed the black visual effect issue on the Clover Pot
• Fixed an issue on Mac where cat outfit, desk outfit, and house outfit thumbnails could not be generated
• Fixed an issue where immediately shrinking into the Cat Bus while selling fish could cause the coin sound effect to continue for too long
• Fixed an issue in windowed mode where the cat’s hand-drawn movement could suddenly teleport when the cursor moved in and out of the window edge
• Fixed an issue on Mac where the game window could be blocked by the Dock
• Fixed an issue on Mac where screenshots were not saved and could not be shared to Steam
• Fixed an issue where equipping the Bat Pumpkin Hood would not complete the Halloween achievement
• Fixed an issue where clicking Miino’s dialogue in Companion Mode could block Miino
• Fixed an issue where clearing all imported music required restarting the game before the same tracks could be imported again
• Fixed an issue where some eye expressions would blink unexpectedly
