The Blob-Life Balance Update is now live in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, bringing adorable Bloblet companions, new shop upgrades, tougher challenges, fresh gear, and many many more as we continue the road through Early Access toward full launch later this year.

Meet Your New Bloblet Companions

Collectible Bloblets are here! Complete special tasks to earn a brand-new currency used to adopt these stylish little companions, each with their own unique look and apparel.

Once they settle into your shop, they grant temporary bonuses like:

  • Increased relic value
  • Better customer tips
  • Additional helpful boosts for your business

You are into boss encouters?

Take a special run focused on power that’ll let you face the bosses sooner and learn a bit more about the story of each dimension… and they also reward you with new weapon aspects!

New Weapons & Poison Perks

Check out new perk path and weapons including:

New Perk Path: Poison

This ailment will deal damage over time, and each tick increases its next damage, making it more dangerous the longer it stays active. However, Poison has a relatively short duration. You’ll need to keep reapplying it to maintain its growing power.

Blo-Buddy

Meet your new companion: the Blo-Buddy which feels like an homage that will bring another part of ML1's flavour to ML2!

This new long-range weapon is a small floating friend that follows you around (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds). It fires whenever you press the shoot button, letting you attack while performing other actions at the same time.

Fixed an issue where after killing Thalaam and returning to Tresna, player could not talk to any NPC and use fast travel;

  • New weapon aspects○ New short sword: Starsign Horn○ New big sword: Protocol Breaker○ New spear: Dreampiercer○ New gauntlets: Single Strike
  • New Gadget added○ New gadget: Blo-Buddy
  • BLOBLETS ADDED!!!○ A new system will be added to the game affecting both parts of the game loop.○ In Dungeon, you are able to complete the bloblet challenges in order to earn a new currency and, when back in Tresna, exchange them for new Bloblets.○ In Shop, after unlocking Bloblets in the PetSeller (Zane Jane), you are able to equip a bloblet for the shop run, which will grant special effects until closing the shop.
  • Shop Lvl 4○ More space, more fun
  • New relics price hints○ When setting a price, if you know the range prices above and below the one being set, a new indicator will appear showing the range where this price corresponds (Cheap, Perfect, Expensive, Overpriced). If you doesn’t know the required ranges, a “?” will appear instead.○ Now, when you set a far from fair price, a hint will appear in the UI indicating none will be interested in that price.○ The ranges Cheap, and Expensive prices now will have a exact perfect price as the range Perfect had in the past.
  • Endless Vault VI unlocked○ New threshold, new challenge.
  • Boss Rushes mode added○ One for each Dimension (Kalina, Prison, Aeolia)○ One Interdimensional Boss Rush mixing all the previous ones.○ New dungeon mode with only perk rooms and boss fights. Fast, straightforward and challenging.
  • New Vendors added○ Rival lvl 4: More patches, more possibilities.○ K33p3r lvl 4: Stonks!○ PetSeller: Rescue and Adopt bloblets.○ LandLady Challenge Cosmetics: Reached the new EV Challenge and have too much gold losing value in your bank account! Luxury Cosmetics will solve that problem! Let’s call it investment.
  • New Customers added○ With the K33p3r new level, the player will be able to unlock a new type of customer: “The Haggle Customers”. 2 customers will fight over a relic and will give different offers for it. The player must choose who to sell it to.
  • New Shop Mechanic: Aromas added○ After selling some relics for a Cheap price, a new machine in the shop will drop a random Aroma from 3 possible options. You would be able to apply that Aroma to a showcase to grant passive effects to it until the end of the shop run depending on the Aroma type.
  • Expert Difficulty Level added○ You died? Say bye bye to your relics○ Get ready to experience reality as everything is more expensive and EV thresholds are bigger
  • More Rooms added
  • New Quest and over 15 New Cutscenes added
  • Poison Path added○ Poison path will join the current existing ones.○ Similar to burn, but reapplying the ailment only extends its duration. The longer an enemy is poisoned, the more damage Poison deals.
  • Bugfixes:○ Fixed an issue where the game could soft lock upon trying to step into the Greed Colosseum;○ Fixed an issue where snapping of pillars during Thalaam encounter was too precise, making it difficult for the player to aim properly;○ Fixed an issue where Jingling Bells relic's curse did not work as intended;○ Fixed an issue where Noon Seed relic's curse did not work as intended;○ Fixed an issue where Twin Genies perk did not spawn the model of the second genie;○ Fixed an issue where escape button did not work in Difficulty selection screen;○ Fixed an issue where character's gauntlet disappeared after several fights in rooms;○ Fixed an issue where character may be pushed beyond the map and fall endlessly when pushed by Herald's recovery wave;○ Fixed an issue where Will could get stuck in the border of Herald boss;○ Fixed an issue where the player could still acquire perks when there were stains around the shop;○ Fixed an issue where some of Herald's projectiles were stuck in mid-air;○ Fixed an issue where character was able to fall OOB in the initial corridor at Heralds' boss arena;○ Fixed an issue where The Curator Boss could stop responding and became invincible during the fight;○ Fixed an issue where projectiles that were fired after death of the CH4 Turret could remain attached ahead of some structures;○ Fixed an issue where entering a boss room with the Simple Domain perk applied the Marked status to the boss too early;○ Fixed an issue where camera aimed at wrong carpets while being in Decorations section;○ Fixed an issue where Will ran in place for a brief moment after using a pendant;○ Fixed an issue where critical damage did not have exclamation mark;○ Improvements to performance (new upscaler has been added in graphics options) and overall stability;○ Localization improvements and fixes;○ Other minor bug fixes.
