Patch v1.2.1 HRE Bugfixes

Date: 2025-12-19 19:12:43

Just wanted to do a small hotfix before we leave for the holidays. The dev team will be off until early January, this will be our final update for the year!

CAMPAIGN CHANGES

- Amount of ammunition typically stored by settlements increased by +33%

- Increased the amount of ammunition gained when buying ammunition from costing 50 to receive 150 per purchase to costing 50 to receive 200 (value is now 1 thaler = 4 supply instead of 1 thaler = 3 supply)

- Increased the amount of food you get from purchasing at shops slightly from 30 thalers receiving 50 food to instead be 30 thalers to receive 60 food (value is now 1 thaler = 2 food now instead of 1 thaler = 1.66 food)

- Food gain from prisoner exchange slightly increased

- Ammo gain from prisoner ransom slightly decreased

- For all nations, battalion artillery units are less commonly found in Act 2 compared to regular field artillery units

- For the HRE, saxon recruits are slightly more common in acts 1 and 2 compared to imperial recruits

- Swiss veteran fusilier and grenadier veterancy cost reduced by -1

- Netherlander artillery upgrade cost reduced by -1

- French hussar upgrade cost reduced by -1

- Freikorps hussars reduced upgrade cost by -1

- The unit professionalism doctrine now is compatible with the HRE receiving a free recruit

- Holy Roman Empire can no longer get the “Extended Training” doctrine as a potential reward since it affects drilling

- Fixed a bug with the HRE’s german arms production doctrine that caused guns to go into the negatives.

- Added a clamp in shops for everyone so that the sell price can never be higher than the buy price (which would result in you infinitely buying/selling to print free money)

- Saxon “Army in Exile” doctrine buff gives +50% reservists from mustering now instead of +60%

- Frontline focus doctrine reworked. Instead of gaining -10% fire damage but +20% flanking fire received (which was devastating when your cavalry got shot in the flank), it’s now that you gain -10% fire damage received but your flanking fire damage is reduced by -5%. So you will no longer receive additional damage if you take this doctrine.

- Fixed sorting buttons for sort by type and sort by value in camp

- Fixed a bug where you didn’t have enough scrolling space to press the confirm button to upgrade a battalion artillery unit into field artillery (was most commonly seen on Britain and Prussia)

ITEM CHANGES

- Lances now debuff melee instead of accuracy. So they now provide good charge damage at the cost of melee, being used more for cavalry focused on charging and less on prolonged hand-to-hand.

- Cavalry pistols now give 2/4/6 accuracy per quality instead of 4/6/8 (its +2 reload as a secondary effect has been kept the same). Its price has been reduced by -5 (from 50 to 45)

VISUAL CHANGES

- Description for Imperial Register doctrine description to be less clunky

From: Drilling replaced with “Mustering,” raising reservists and recruits

To: Drilling replaced with Mustering to raise reservists and recruits

- Enabling the endless mode now has a green confirm button instead of red
Image

- When hovering in the center of your screen after a battle, it will no longer reveal the tooltip for a loot item that hasn’t animated in yet

- Your general’s name for the HRE is no longer “Friedrich Michael,” but now “Friedrich Michael von Zweibrücken”

- Fixed a bug where sometimes when upgrading an HRE unit they’d get a neon green element to their uniform
