Important changes to the Awaken Tree, regarding Workstation Yields. This was an oversight with how overtuned and abusable it is. It's been replaced with a recovery chance for input materials, but I have added a method to reset your Skill Points and provided everyone 1 of them, so they can make changes due to this change. I want to retain a stable balance and this just broke the economy completely. There will be further mechanics to increase yields and solve for bottlenecks that I am working on!
I am also testing enabling the Steam Overlay again. If you can't launch the game after this patch, please let me know! Hoping this wasn't the root cause to the issues we had on release.
Awaken Tree Changes
- Added a Awaken Tree Potion that allows you to reset your awaken tree, with a weekly limit of 1 for 250k gold
- Gave everyone a Awaken Tree Potion due to the nerfs to the tree
- Changed Awaken Tree tab so it shows up right away for new players, for better planning
- Fixed awaken gold upgrade in Awaken Tree, to make the text more clear on what it does
- Changed "The Awakening" description to be more clear and descriptive
- Changed workstation yield Awaken Tree upgrades to instead be 15% chance of item input recovery, due to how overtuned this was
Additional Changes
- Fixed Hammer not matching sell price of saw and knife
- Fixed an issue that caused the scrolling to change pages to not work in the expeditions tab
- Changed Merchant from a daily reset to a weekly reset system, in alignment with Task Board
- Buffed Moss's Power from 1 -> 8, Gathering from 14 -> 27, and each job proficiency from 1 -> 2, to give them a "starter creature" feel
- Changed pure essence required workbench level from 40 -> 30
- Changed bowl required workbench level from 30 -> 25
- Updated taskboard UI with highlighting weekly reset, clearing the background of completed tasks and making timer more clear
I will be working on a Expedition overhaul here next, that I think will feel much better and align more with what I was trying to do. Stay tuned for that!
