Economy:

  • Fixed an issue where buildings could persist at level 0 instead of being properly removed, which could cause the game to enter an infinite loop when a country goes bankrupt.

Diplomacy:

  • Fixed an issue where war declarations were incorrectly labeled as independence wars, even when the war's objective had nothing to do with breaking free from an overlord.

Military:

  • Fixed a commonly reported bug where military units raised from the population (levies) could remain attached to a population group (pop) even after becoming invalid, causing them to be raised indefinitely and resulting in incorrect troop counts.
  • Regular (professional standing) units no longer receive an additional +100% combat bonus on top of what levies already get, bringing them more in line with their intended role.

  • Reworked many river connections across Asia, Africa, Oceania, and America to improve and make clearer the spread of Proximity.

Portraits:

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when hovering over an estate (a social class such as Nobility or Clergy) that had no disenfranchisement data (the process of converting one estate into another).
  • Fixed characters incorrectly darkening with age; their skin now retains roughly the same brightness but gradually loses saturation over time, as intended.
