Decktamer Demo Update 0.10

Hello everyone! We’re back with yet another Decktamer Update. Here’s what’s new:

Changelog


  • Added 5 new creatures: Brown Marter, Hipponimus, Dipteranae, Gumursa and the Abyssal Great Elk
  • Fixed a longstanding bug where effect icons were sometimes invisible when hovering an ability description
  • Added the ability to remove cards from your deck in-between battles.
  • Show Max HP when hovering a card
  • Attack priority displayed on the attack animation (always hits first and always hits last)
  • Damage Number changes color if dealing extra or lower damage (ex: damaging a vulnerable or sturdy creature)
  • Removed the Dynamic Camera option since it wasn't popular nor needed
  • Further improvements to overall stability, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user's experience.

What's next?


Now for what’s next: One common complaint about the game is the lack of player choice during a run (outside of battle). In the prototype phase of the game, we had a rough version of a Slay the Spire-like map system that we ultimately had to scrap due to various issues with our implementation.

In any case, we have started to develop a new system that would let the player make more decisions on what battles to fight, which events to go to etc. It’s still early to talk about it in detail but we hope to have something interesting to show you in the coming weeks.
