"Kemono Teatime" Collaboration Track & Dev Team Game Intro

Our daily event to celebrate the Steam Awards "Sit Back and Relax" nomination is now on Day 3! Today, we are thrilled to announce a collaboration with the game Kemono Teatime. The track "with you" from the game has been added as a new BGM for Chill with You : Lo-Fi Story.

One of our development members who played Kemono Teatime to the end would like to share their thoughts. Note: This contains slightly more insight than the official description, so if you want to go in completely blind, please stop reading here and go play!

Kemono Teatime is a visual novel with adorable visuals where you run a café for "kemomimi" girls and interact with customers... but it is not just a "cute game." After playing for a while, you will notice the truth lurking beneath the peaceful daily life and realize where the story is heading. In most games, realizing the truth is the ending; in this game, that realization is the starting point. The journey after you learn the truth is actually the core of the experience.

Because things are lost, we cherish them. But they will be lost regardless. The player becomes conscious of the things slipping away day by day while living toward the inevitable conclusion. If our other collaborator, Bear's Restaurant, is a story about "living while realizing what has been lost," this game is its counterpart: "living while realizing what is about to be lost." When you live seriously with resolve, you truly gain something. The emotions this game evoked were irreplaceable. Even knowing the outcome, the direction and storytelling were so powerful they moved me deeply. If you are looking for a game that is more than just cute, I highly recommend it.
