Forza Horizon 5 – Save game – location, backup, installation
September 19, 2022Where can I find the Forza Horizon 5 game save, in what directory to backup or install another saved game downloaded from the internet?
Save Game location
To install a new save game or make a backup copy of the current save game you need to get to the folder:
Steam version
- [Steam path]/userdata/STEAM_ID/1551360/
- The save game path with the default Steam path: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/STEAM_ID/1551360/
Microsoft Store version
- Enter the path in the folder address bar: C:/Users/%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.624F8B84B80_8wekyb3d8bbwe/SystemAppData/wgs
- Press “Win + R”, then enter %appdata%, go back to the AppData folder and then open: Local -> Packages -> Microsoft.624F8B84B80_8wekyb3d8bbwe -> SystemAppData -> wgs
- In the system search engine, type %appdata%, go back to the AppData folder and open: Local -> Packages -> Microsoft.624F8B84B80_8wekyb3d8bbwe -> SystemAppData -> wgs
*Based on the file system information, the save files should be in the above path.
